Christian women meeting features fashions Buffet of the Port Perry Area Christian Women's Club is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge on Queen St. The Christian Women's Club is All interested women of the Port Perry area and all the sur- rounding communities are especially invited by making a reservation for the Deli-Dessert evening. The President opened the meeting with all repeating the Auxiliary prayer in unison. The minutes of the last meeting were "then read and approved. Isabel Wilson gift shop buyer, said there were lots of new things in the gift shop, and hoped everyone will do their Christmas shopping there as our prices are comparable to offier places. Hazel Coates wool convener showed us a large display of sweaters, booties, slippers, towels, placemats, etc., and Hazel has wool to give out to anyone who would like to do some knitting. We do thank all those who have done this work. Bonnie received two boxes of booties, and reported 9 boys, 7 girls born in hospital since our last meeting. Under new business, Mary and Elaine had attended the Con- ference in Newmarket. Mary spoke about different fundraising ways, as we have made a pledge of money, in helping in donations towards the expansion of the hospital. We do need new members to make the Auxiliary work and we would be very pleas- ed to have some new members. As we were running out of time a motion was made by Thelma seconded by Marg McConnell we adjourn. This being followed by Joyce and Minnie serving a love- ly lunch.
