Kin Dave Robinson told the Star recently that they hoped to collect about 300 pints of blood at this clinic, but they fell far short of that objective. In total, 191 donors showed up at Port Perry High School to do- nate a pint of blood, and of those 169 were accepted. The 169 pints represents an in- crease of 66 percent over the last clinic held in the area, and is also 5% better thatn the National aver- fake" cts 169 pints age of mobile clinic collections, based on a per capita system. Exact numbers were not availa- ble for the number of students and teachers giving during the after- noon session, but a total of 61 pints were collected during this time. In the P.P.H.S. challenge, the winners by percentage were the students. The Corporate Challenge win- ners were Lake Scugog Lumber. Both will receive a trophy for their efforts. The next scheduled Blood Donor Clinic for the area, will be April 14, 1989 at the Port Perry Kins- men Hall. Mark you calendars now, and let's try and top 300 pints. nh } lid fe.
