Velma Stacey was the tenth child of Richard Stacey and Ann (Richards) Stacey, born in Burke- ton Ont. on September 8th, 1898. She moved to Enfield at age two, attended Enfield School, and at age 10, moved to her present home in Raglan. She attended Raglan School SS#9 where she received her en- trance. At the age of 15 she moved to Toronto where her career took her to Hee's Draperies. She returnéd home and met Robert Bryant and the tv:o were married two years later, April 30, 1924, and made Raglan their life- long home. Their family grew to include four children, Doris (Nash) of Oshawa, Daisy (Solomon) of Port Perry, Chester of Oshawa and Ro- nald of Raglan; and twelve grand- NE DAY ONLY! The guests ranged in age from three to 103. The afternoon tea was gracious- ly and ably catered to by the Sa- rah-Ruth UCW unit of Port Perry United Church. Thanks to the la- dies for a job well done and much iated. his was an afternoon that Vel- ma will never forget and will hold dear in her heart the warmth of so many friends and relatives.
