Very thrilled to have a visit from 15 Canada Geese..early Sunday morning. They enjoyed breakfast feasting on the lush grass in a near- by field. It was a beautiful sight! They were so graceful and I would think this year's young! Just had to share such interesting news with those reading this column! Caesarea Euchre Party At the Wednesday evening euchre, held in the Caesarea Centre, the high score was taken by Sharon Smith with a fine 87. Second prize winner Albert Watts was close behind with 86. Norm Rohrer was low with 57. Congratulations! Warmest congratulations to Clare MacKenzie of Nestleton, who has won a Centennial Award Scholar- ship to Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. The $1,200. award, renewable for another three years, for a total value of up to $4,800., was based on Clare's interim mark of 90.8 per cent at Cartwright High School. Clare plans to study Honours Business. We wish her well in her chosen field! We are very proud of Clare..a fine student! Bob Heayn conducted the service in his own inimitable style giving the opening Prayer..leading the responsive reading and reading the Scripture. Rev. Dr. W. H. Vacation School commences August 15 to the 19th..Lyn Arney & Jacqueline McDermott in charge! Family News Recent guests with Lawrence & Gwendolyn Malcolm of Nestleton, were Barry & Joan Malcolm of Sim- coe, Ted & Lenore Hoar, Lindsay, Murray Malcolm and friend of Bethany, Dennis Malcolm, Ajax, and relatives from Missouri, and Richard Choe, Blackstock. We extend sincere sympathy to Mrs. Dennis (Laina) Malcolm in the loss of her father Bill Mann of Missouri. Dan & Ruth Girardi and Ken Bragg of Bowmanville attended the Dedication Service at Nestleton United Church on Sunday, and later were luncheon guests with Sam & Mabel Cawker at Conway Place Restaurant in Port Perry. A visit was enjoyed over the lovely buffet meal! Guests at the farm on Sunday with the Sam Cawkers were Sylvia Cawker, Chandre & Jason of Scarborough. Ken & Joyce Gray of Orono, were present at the Dedication Service at Nestleton and later were guests with Arnold & Jean Williams, Nestleton. Nestleton United Church A very good attendance at Nestleton United Church for the 11:15 a.m. worship service with Chris Davis, son Carleton and friend extending a warm greeting at the door. David Malcolm was the Usher. Minister Richard Choe presented the message, '"The Colour Of Love" based on Scripture - Genesis 9: 8-17 & John 12: 44-50. Rev. Dale Davis assisted with the service. Many happy youngsters were on hand for the interesting children's theme. A trio..Betty Headon, Kay Not- man & Regenia Walker favoured with a lovely musical selection, "I'll Tell The World" accompanied by organist Gwendolyn Malcom. Dur- ing the offering Claire Notman ag- ed 11 and sister Jennifer Notman ag- ed 8..sang a delightful number unac- companied.. "Turn On The Sun'. Warm applause greeted the youngsters when they finished!
