Are you running out of ideas to keep your children occupied this summer? Well, it's that time of year again. Welcome PLAYGROUND! This year is packed with fun- filled days. Brace yourself for six exciting weeks! We'll start off the summer with Health and Safety Week, followed by Holiday, Olym- pic and International Week. To end the summer, we'll have your favourites; entertainment and carnival week. Just to highlight a few of our big events, we'll be having fun- draisers such as: a cake raffle, walk-a-thon and a bottle drive. Don't forget the weekly guess ie/ smarties. The money will be us- ed for our weekly outings, treats for the children, and most of all, back to our year end trip to Ontario Place. We will also be featuring movies on Wednesdays (popcorn will be sold for 50 cents), swimm- ing days at Birdseye (don't forget your swimsuits), dress-up days, crafts, games, special days, outings, trips, and that's not all! Don't forget Thursdays, hot dog day, a hot dog and a drink will be sold for the low price of $1.00. Don't miss out on all the fun and "excitement! Our playground runs from July 4 - August 12, 9:00 - 4:00, register any time at the Scout-Kin Hall. Come on out and have the time of your life. We're looking forward to seeing you! Scugog Island The summer has arrived and the boredom blues are soon going to set in but DON'T be a couch potatoe! You can register any day of the week (July 4 - Aug. 12). However, there are no daily fees, for the fun-filled and exciting Scugog Island Playground. Your child, who must be 4 years to 10 years, could be included in games, songs, crafts, swimming, movies and much more for the low cost of $15. per week per child and $10. for each additional child. If you are lucky, you could be a member of the 'Islanders' for the full six weeks for the low price of $70. per six weeks per child and $40. per each additional child. Our first week begins July 4th and the theme is FRIENDSHIP. Hope to see you there! Blackstock We would like to welcome everyone to Blackstock Playground again this summer. A fun-filled six weeks have been planned for the little people of Blackstock and surrounding area. To begin with, registration for the first week begins at 9:00 a.m., July 4th, at Blackstock Recrea- tion Centre. Each of the six weeks has a dif- ferent theme beginning with "Friendship Week' for our first theme. We will begin our first week with movies and popcorn (50 cents) on Monday, swimming on Denture Therapy Clinie Tuesday, Hotdog Day Wednes- day, a trip on Thursday, and a bottle drive on Friday. Don't forget your swimsuits and towels. The rest of the six weeks pro- mise to be as full of activities as the first and more! So come one, come all to join in the fun at Blackstock Playground! Prince Albert Playground Hey Kids: Welcome to an exciting sum- mer at Prince Albert Playground! Our first week is go- ing to be "sports week". We've planned soccer games, baseball games and all sorts of exciting sports. For Friday, we're organiz- ing a trip to the Prince Albert Miniature Golf Course! Swimdays at Birdseye Pool are every Monday, excluding July 4th and August 1st. Movie days are Wednesdays and we will be sell- ing popcorn for 25 cents. Every day throughout the summer we'll be selling drinks for 25 cents, as a fundraiser. Hotdog days are Fridays, and the kids can get a drink and a hotdog for a dollar. Just a reminder to you, that if you have any useful craft items at home, as listed on the registration forms, we'd be happy to use them! Hope to see you all out on July 4th! Greenbank Playground Hey kids, we hope you are all ready for six great weeks of wild, exciting fun at Greenbank Playground this year. We have exciting new trips, crafts, movies, swim days and events planned for you. Each week there is a new theme. The activities done throughout the week will follow these themes. Theme ideas will be Carnival, Music, Holiday, Inter- national & Safety weeks. Our first week is Safety Week and is pack- ed full of activities. A local policeman will visit, and a tour of the hospital later on in the week. We will also visit a farm during the first week. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, there are set activities that will be carried on throughout the summer. Wednesdays are movie days, Thursdays are swim days, and Fridays we sell hotdogs. During the course of the six weeks, there are weekly fun- draisers. Some of these include cake raffle, bottle drive, hotdog and popcorn sales and weekly guesses eg. number of smarties in a jar. The money raised will . enable us to buy craft supplies, treats and most of all, be put towards our year end trip to Pleasure Valley. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
