CaS l® ' The radiant bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of Honour was Michelle Sinclair, sister of the bride, and Best Man was Scott Cawker, brother of the groom. Ushers were Ken Sinclair and Michael Cawker. Cindy is the daughter of Jim Sinclair of Lindsay, and Marlene Sinclair of Oshawa, and Mark is the son of Alan & Eleanor Cawker of Oshawa. The reception and dance was held following the ceremony at Valleyview Park Clubhouse, with a buffet supper at 10:30 p.m. Guests were present from New Brunswick, Sudbury, Kitchener, Peterborough, Little Britain, Whitby, Port Perry, Nestleton, Oshawa and other points! Some ninety guests were present for this special occasion! Grand- parents Lawrence and Audrey Tamblyn of Little Britain, and Sam & Mabel Cawker of Nestleton, attended the lovely event! The topic chosen for the sermon was '""How to get closer to God"', and points discussed were - to communicate with God by Prayers, count the cost of Chris- tian discipleship, remember His presence with you, courage to live a Christian life. The poem, "If God Should Go On Strike' reminded us of our many blessings. Caesarea Community Church A fine attendance at Caesarea Church on a lovely Sunday morn- ing at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. W.H. Crawford used as his sermon topic, "Having The Right Compa- nion" based on Scripture from Luke 24, read by Frank Arney. Pat Halverson led the Responsive reading and Kathy Watts played the organ. The Church School was under the capable leadership of Lynn Arney. Next Sunday at 11 a.m. Caesarea Euchre On Wed. evening at the centre, first prize was a tie with Geo. Mathewson & Doreen Rush each holding an 84. Albert Watts was low with 51. Gloris Parsons hosted the super lunch. : Keep in mind the Caesarea Flea Market & Bake Sale coming up this Saturday, June 18, from 9-3 p.m. at the centre. A happy belated birthday to William Harran of Caesarea, who turned 25 years of age this past Monday, June 13. Friends held a party for him on Saturday evening! Nestleton United Church S.S. Anniversary June 12 was a beautiful day for Nestleton United Church Sunday School Anniversary, with many members of families and friends 'on hand for the great service. All twenty-one children took part and performed proudly! The Junior Choir led by Janice MacKenzie and Betty Headon sand five terrific songs. "Hallelu- jah" : "Praise and Sing"' - "'Let's Sing A Song' - "Silver and Gold" and "God Loves A Cheerful Giver". Bible lessons Matthew 18: I'6 and Luke 15: 4-7, were capably read by Carleton and Scott Davis. With the focus on being Part of the family of God, the children put on a meaningful play entitled, "Lost and Found'. Beginning with the little flowers dance, and the trees graceful swaying, Claire Notman as Mother Nature show- ed her reluctant Family of Animals. From eagle to skunk, the value of living together harmoniously, and having the help and support of friends and family, was carried out! It was an entertaining and enlightening Anniversary Ser- vice. Superintendant Joanna Malcolm & the S.S. Staff are to be congratulated for a "terrific"' an- niversary service! Family Concerns Mrs. Neta Fish of Blackstock, attended a bridal shower for great neice Susan Foster, Whitby, held at Judi Butterworth's home. It was held outside around the pool. While Neta was at the shower, Calvin & Yvonne Holland & fami- ly entertained the children at Go- Cart. Later all enjoyed supper at McDonald's Restaurant. Guests during the week with the S. Cawkers were - son, Arthur Cawker, Sudbury from Mon. to Wed. Alan & Eleanor Cawker, Oshawa, and grandchildren, Jessica & Whitney of Whitby, on Wed. and Bryan Cawker of Kit- chener, Sunday dinner guest! Very pleased to see Cliff & Helen Redman progressing with a new barn, after the disasterous fire, and loss must have been heavy! They surely have what it takes, - we admire their perseverance and steadfastness!
