Ron and Sandy Wagner celebrated a special day last Saturday as they held the Grand Opening of Wagner Enterprises In their recently acquired build- ing. OPEN . 7:30 a.m. til Wagner Enterprises Last Saturday marked a mile- stone for Ron Wagner and his wife Sandy as they opened the doors of their new business, Wagner Enter- Ron prises, on Durham Road 23 near Uxbridge. Ron is no Stranger in Port Perry having worked for here for 26 years before striking out on his own in August 1987. He started work in the lumber business in 1961 for the former John Ballard Lumber Company in the drafting department, and con- tinued with Mr. Ballard after gradu- ating from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in 1969 with his diploma in Architectural Technolgy. Ballard Lumber was sold to Pe- terbough Lumber in 1978 and Ron managed the store for about a year and a half before concentrating ef- forts in sales. In 1985, Wagner Enterprise be- gan as a part-time business provid- ing residential plans and specialty items for his customers. Then in August last year, Ron left this po- sition with Cashway Lumber to concentrate his efforts full-time on his own business.
