Roll call was '"'How have Canadian women helped the world through crafts", and evoked some interesting replies. The motto - International Service Through Crafts was apt- ly taken by Marilyn Fitchett. Connie Haigh attended the Pro- vincial F.W.1.0. Leadership Con- ference at Queens University in Kingston May 13 to 15 and submit- ted an interesting and com- prehensive report. Mary Ostrom demonstrated how to make knitted chequered Phentex slippers. A draw was held for two pairs of these slippers and Clara Dowson and Lilo Czilok were the lucky winners. Jan Gerrow demonstrated how to make braided, covered coat hangers. The program was con- vened by Harriet Hunt's group "International Affairs' and after the program served a delicious lunch. Auxiliary plans luncheon by Luella Graham The May meeting of the Com- munity Hospital Ladies Auxiliary was held in the hospital with 16 ladies present. The President opened the meeting with all repeating the Auxiliary prayer in unison. The President Elaine Bucanan, then said how pleased the auxiliary was with the results from the Spring Fair, and we do thank '"'the different organizations who helped to make it such a good success. The Secretaries report was then given, and accepted as read. In the absence of Treasurer, Muriel Coates, the report was given by Camille Corr., Sec., read 2 notes, Seven ile and a letter from Mr. Brown was read asking all the Auxiliary to at- tend the Annual Hospital Meeting being held in the Board room of the hospital on June 22, at 8 p.m. and 8 "Thank You' notes had. - . . 28th, at 9 a.m. at the Masonic been sent out.
