The show got underway with three performances last week, and continues for another six performances this week and the next. The Countess Maritza (played by Catherine Miller) is seen here having her palm read while Baron Kolomna Zsupan (Terry Paul) at left, and Prince Moritz Popolescu (Don Taylor) keep a close eye on the proceedings. The three act play has been drawing large crowds, but there are a few tickets left for future perfor- mances. Mr. Gerald Nelson, Fieldman for the Holstein Friesian Asso- ciation, Port Perry, accompanied members from the Durham County Holstein Assoc. on a chartered flight to Chicago where they visited three farms and a Cattle Breeders Unit. In the course of the day, they covered approximately 1,500 miles. 10 YEARS AGO Wednesday, April 26, 1978 It was reported that a set of fully activated traffic signals will be installed this summer at the intersection of Queen Street and Lilla Streets in Port Perry. - | Lake Scugog refused to let go of its icy grip, with about 4 inches of ice still on the lake on April 26. The ice finally did go out on Friday, April 28th. Community Memorial Hospital honoured Doris Watson at a retirement dinner held at Emiels Place. Doris was employed by the Hospital for more than 25 years. Sheldon Smith presented the gifts and plaque to Mrs. Watson.
