Eight medals at Durham-wide gymnastics meet PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, April 12, 1988 -- 45 R.H. Cornish blows away the competition! The R.H. Cornish gymnastics team has done it again. In a region-wide tournament last week, the Cornish team captured more top-six placings than any other school in Durham. Cornish boasted 19 top placings while its closest competitor, Gan- dhi P.S., grabbed only 10. Included in those placings were two gold medals, five silver and two bronze.
