Bruins 5-0. The boys seemed to put everything into this last game as evident in the fact that the Oshawa team had a max- imum of only 10 shots giving our goalies James Paterson and Scot Prechitko an easy time between the pipes. Kirk Swain's stick was hot in this game as he had 2 goals and 1 assist. Way to go Kirk! Another 3 pointer for the even- ing was Craig Laird who had 1 goal and 2 assists. Other scorers in this game were Richie Tripp and Kent Taylor 1 each. Assists went to Ricky Olaisen, Billy Zaparanuik, Jeff Vernon and Kent Taylor 1 each. A special final of the year was the parent-son hockey game on Sunday. I'm not sure what the final score was but if you ask some of the (cough, puff, pant, wheeze) parents, they seem to think it was in their favour. The boys should be extremely proud of their efforts this year especially in the fact that wherever they travelled they represented Port Perry as young gentlemen. The highlight of their year had to be winning their home tourna- ment. Way to go guys! The boys would like to thank Pineridge Sports for being ex- cellent sponsors and ' for all their support, encouragement and treats throughout the year. The boys have a great deal of respect for their coaches Mike Prechitko, Harvey Williams and Ray Zaparanuik. They have taught them many ways to im- prove their skills and be good hockey players. You are 3 of the best! (The parents think so too). I enjoyed doing the weekly write-ups for this very special team but I must now thank my silent pen (Don) for all his help.
