| At UCW meeting How to prevent Prince Albert and Area News by llean Pugh The monthly meeting of the U.C.W. on Wednesday was open- ed by vice-president Linda McMillan with a reading. The Devotion was taken by Bet- ty Deeth, Aileen Olsen and Norma Robinson with the theme '"Heart."" Hymn "'O For A Heart To Praise"was sung. Fifteen ladies answered the roll call with a Bible verse with the word heart in it. Our guest speaker was in- troduced. Mrs. Heimstra had slides and information on how to handle an emergency with heart patients and how to prevent that emergency. Betty Deeth thanked our guest. Hymn "Come Let Us Sing Of A Wonderful Love" was sung. Dorothy Hope read the minutes of the last meeting. Reports were given. The ladies were reminded of the Hospital Auxiliary Spring Fair, April 30th at the Latcham Centre. A C.P.R. course will be held on April 9. More information next week. _ This must be the year for great- grandparents as we have two more in our community. When Earl and Jean Martyn arrived home from a holiday they receiv- ed the great news of a great- granddaughter Tracy Ruby McKeown, daughter of Brenda and Allan of Woodville. i Vic and Minnie Larocque also 'have a great-granddaughter. This is your centre and we need some more interest and ideas. Jim and Minnie Martin have returned from a holiday in Florida. Some are coming home and some going away for holidays. Allan Law- rence, is a highlight of the annual Ottawa visit for outstanding 4-H Club members sponsored by the Durham Milk Committee. The group attended Question Period in the House of Commons, toured the Parliament Buildings and had lunch with Mr. Lawrence In the Parliamentary Restaurant. Players must be registered by a parent or guardian. The registration fee is $15.00 per player. This will cover the cost of the uniform which the player may keep. For those of you travelling this March Break, have a safe, happy holiday and don't forget drivers be extra cautious this week as there are so many children play- ing, running and biking. The Block Parent Association wishes to remind all Block Parents to have your Block Parents sign in a clearly visable spot when you are home and removed when you are out. This is particularly worth remember- ing during the March Break as some children may be spending the days at babysitters homes in an unfamiliar street. Also, after nearly two years!
