- _--_ Ce Nonquon frozen as smooth as arena ice Seagrave and Area News by Ann Sandiford Well, whoever said that Seagrave doesn't have it's own ice rink? If Mother Nature continues § be nice to us we may have one of the largest rinks in the area. This holiday season the Nonquon has frozen so smooth that we have had scores of kids and adults out there enjoying the ice. Our son Billy had a party for his 12th birthday which was December 31st. Usually we take a couple' of carloads of friends to one place or another but with the ice so good everyone decided to.stay home and play old-fashioned hockey shinny on the river and a good time was had by all. Best wishes go out to Jeff Arscott who is recovering from an automobile accident and to Doug Edinger who recently had an unfor- tunate mishap and broke his leg and Mrs. Stanley Venner who is in the Community Hospital. Just a short reminder to all our readers that with the unpredictable weather and now that the School Buses are running again that we pay particular attention and watch out for the kids. Congratulations on your Christmas Engagement to Miss Anna-Marie Nicol (daughter of Norm and Kay Nicol of Robinglade Estates) to Mr. Steve Ball of Janet- ville. The happy couple have not set their wedding date at the present time. Best wishes are extended to the happy couple from all your friends and relatives. Belated birthday wishes to Tricia Wray, Billy Sandiford, Fred Nobbs and Don Beacock. The Seagrave Upited Church an- nual meeting, will be held on January 21, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at the church. We urge all interested to attend. : The High School Youth Group will "be held January 10th, 1988 at 3:30 p.m. at the church. Please make sure you wear your paint clothes.
