Deadline for entries is Thursday December 10th, but gingerbread masterpieces don't have to be completed until "Judgement Day," Wednesday December 16th, at 4 p.m. (at the Port Perry Star, 235 Queen Street). So far, only three entries have been received (as of Friday mor- ning, December 4), which means all three are guaranteed a prize. Fifty dollars cash plus a gift from the Star will go to the best ginger- bread creation. Two honourable mention prizes of $25 each will also be given away. Yes, the actual gingerbread can come from a kit, but it must be decorated by hand.
