The Larocque started the scoring on a goal by Chris Robinson and assisted by Kevin Pearce. Kevin Pearce scored Larocques second goal unassisted. Mike Williams then scored a nice goal for Scala assisted by Jerry Blackburn. ReMax jumped into a quick 2-0 lead, but Port Perry Printing came back strongly and were up 3-2 after the first, and 5-3 after the se- cond. The last period belonged to ReMax though, as they scored three unanswered goals to take a hard- fought 6-5 victory. Robbie Murphy was the big shooter for ReMax, getting a hat- trick and assisting on the goal scored by Jamie Trick. Kristan Wootten had a pair of goals, and Ryan Diceman and Robert Gracie each had an assist. Included in their program of skills is exercises on the ice, skating around pylons and coming to a stop on the blue line. Some boys have achieved these skills with ease with only 2 months into the season. They continue to show strong ability and desire to learn. Showing much improvement in their skills is Sean Jeffrey and Beau Jolicoeur of Dowson's Value-Mart, Mark Blakely and Scott Brawson of Don Forder Insurance. Also showing improvement is Christopher Bronson and Christopher Jones of Scugog Overhead Doors and Ryan McQuade and Scott Risebrough of Kinsmen. The advanced tykes practised their skills with emphasis on stopp- ing, skating backwards and stick handling. They also had a scrim- mage to end the session.
