Weeks of rehearsals under the Stage Direction of Nina Foxall, Musical Direction of Tom Millar assisted by Kim Dick, and produc- ed by Richard Drew has developed a wonderful evening of song and dance. Special mention should also be made to Carol McGrath for her musical help, Marg Tansley for costumes in Cats, and Monique for props. Kvita provides a Latin flavour as it tells the story of a peasant girl who became Eva Peron, wife of the dictator of Argentina. The Phantom of the Opera -- a delightful fantasy on the Beauty and the Beast theme has never been performed in North America. It is currently playing in london, England and is slated to open on Broadway in early February Based on poetry by T.S. Elliott, Cats is a well-known musical with a cast made up entirely of felines who sing and dance. Jesus Christ Superstar tells us the story of Christ's later life on earth in the form of a rock opera. Much of this music will be familiar since Webber wrote these Musicals during the past two decades.
