There was lots of action in both games played on the weekend, giv- ing the crowds some exciting moments. We saw some fine play- ing, plenty of passing and great ability on the ice. Both the games showed the team has the potential to continue this winning streak and the enthusiasm to go with it. Next game for the Novice No. 1 (age 8-9) is Friday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Port Perry Arena against Bowmanville. See you there! New Club for the non-skaters This 1s it, your chance to learn how to skate. If you've never learned how, of you're the kind of person who relies on the boards, who falls more than you glide, and who is terrified of go- ing to public skating for fear of mak: ing a spectacle of yourself, you "might be interested in joining the Tenderbuns Skating Club. The Tenderbuns are a group of adults, men and women, who want to master the basics of skating. Nothing fancy--no power skating or figure skating--just how to start and stop. The name, Tenderbuns, says 1t all Figure skating pro Lisa Sirizzotti has been hired on to teach the basics to adults only, on Wednesday mor- nings, from 9 am to 10 am at Scugog Memorial Arena (on Regignal Road 8, Port Perry) The first lesson begins on October 21st.
