1 PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, October 20, 1987 -- 11 Seminar designed to improve salesmanship Local business people are invited to attend a seminar on Tues- day, November 3 aimed at helping improve both indoor and out- door sales techniques. The seminar, sponsored in part by the Scugog Chamber of Commerce, is a part of their theme 'Business Helping Business" and will be held in the Railroadhouse Conference Room, Port Perry. The first part of this program will deal with in-store selling, professional use of the telephone, and customer service. The se- cond program deals with outside selling and the topics to be discussed are selling skills, time management and account bill- ing. Both programs contain Goal Setting Strategy, Self Image LAR re Albert and Lillian Harper of Port Perry celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on October 16 and an Open House was held last Sunday for family and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Harper were married in Prince Albert and have lived in the area ever since. They have been Port Perry residents for the last 18 years.
