Paul was unable to be pre- sent as he is Europe on a business trip. On Saturday and Sunday Bill and Betty Stearman and children of In- gersoll visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kerry and family. Mrs. Edna Kerry of Port Perry had lunch with Ker- rys on Monday. Jamie and Robert Ashton were thrilled when a hot air balloon land- ed near their home and they helped fold it up and put it in the truck. I had a surprise visit one day last week from cousins Mrs. Mary Brown and Mrs. Hivey of Toronto. Congratulations to Julie Ashton who heard last week that she won an award for her first year Journalism course at Durham College. On Sunday Marie and Earl welcomed Rick and Paula Wilson and family, Dennis and Carol Irwin and boys, Marie's mother Mrs. W.0. Simpson and Miss Ruby Wilson of . Uxbridge for Thanksgiving Day. Rev. and Mrs. Floyd Wilson and family of London were with his parents Elmer and Ruth Wilson on Sunday for Thanksgiving. On Monday, Mr. Herb Thomas of Markham, also Gerald and Nancy Hill and family joined the Tapscotts for holiday supper. The Asling families met at the home of Faye and Keith Ashtons for dinner on Sunday. Keith's mother Mrs. Ruth Ashton and I were also guests. The church was beautifully decorated.
