Also thanks to those who save their papers. Boy Scout Apple Day will be Sat. Oct. 24. It has not been possible as yet to hold any Scout meetings as there is still a desperate need for a Scout leader. I saw several familiar faces from the community in Oshawa this past Saturday afternoon at KEastdale School watching the Mr. Dressup Show. The family of Fred Puckrin held a reception for him on Sunday after- noon at the Latcham Centre when - over 300 of his friends, relatives, and neighbours helped him celebrate his 70th birthday. This will be a lasting memorable occasion for him. Many thanks to all who attended. Congratulations to Chris and Til- ly Durward on the safe arrival of a baby son on October 3. Proud grand- parents are Lloyd and Donna Dur- ward and great-grandmother Marion Durward.
