Seventeen members answered the roll call. Devotion was done by Helen Wozney, Catherine Diagle and Mar- jorie Chambers they chose "Your Church" as their theme and did a great job in getting their thoughts across to the ladies. Marjorie read a poem called 'Definition of a Chris- tian." Some of these poems should be printed in the Star, they are very good. Business part of the meeting sees an upcoming beef supper on October 25, please keep this date in mind, remember, the good pies we ladies of Prince Albert have. Anniversary Sunday is September 27 and Rev. John May will be guest speaker. Thank you notes were read from Grace Beacock, Eileen Hodgins, The Smiths, The McMillans and Sara Elliott. Prince Albert Hall was open to a number of Prince Albert and area voters on Thursday, September 10 as we exercised our right to vote. Congratulations to Gregory Langford who won the five and under colouring contest class at Port Perry Fair on Saturday. I saw that picture Gregory in the secretary building and it was good for a 5 year old boy. Keep up the good work Gregory, Valerie Van Ravenswaay and Gregory Langford will be starting kindergarten next week with Mrs. Dawn as their teacher. Happy school days kids. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Parrish from Union Ave. were in Timmins on the long weekend, attending the 50th wedding anniversary of Heather's aunt and uncle Red and Norma Phillips. Sympathy to Edna Langford and family over on Hurd St. Edna went home to England on the south coast for seven weeks but lost her mom in her stay there. Amanda and Samatha were with their mom, John joined her for a 2 week stay. Sympathy to Joan Warren and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jeffrey in the death on Sunday of Mr. Albert Jef- frey. Albert will be sadly missed by his many friends in Prince Albert.
