Monday, the last day of August was bowling. Our top scorer was Merle Phillips with 79 points. Con- Tuesday, Sept. 1st, a bus load of eager residents headed off to the CNE for a day of adventure. They visited the International, Food, Hor- ticultural and Arts & Crafts building. Everything proved to be quite interesting and worth looking Blackstock United Church provided a service. The following day was Facials and Manicures. Facials were pro- vided for several of our ladies by a couple of 'Mary Kay Consultants." A special thank you to Donna Stell sure know how to lift the ladies' spirits. Thursday afternoon, we had quiz and trivia games. Friday, Sept. 4th, we were invited over to the Villa's Hide-away for tea. Cheese and crackers and nice afternoon for visiting our neighbours. After a rest over the long weekend, we got back into the swing of things on Tues. Sept. 8th, with an exciting Bingo. Congratulations to all of our lucky winners. In the even- ing, the Christian Reform Church members supplied us with a lovely service. i Wednesday was the gathering of the Resident's Council. Several items on the agenda were discuss- ed thoroughly. Thursday was Election Day. All eligible voters were taken to the polling booth to cast their vote. A craft session was also in action with a lesson on making Christmas ball ornaments out of old Xmas cards. Thank you to Mrs. Elizabeth Slute for teaching us her technique. To end the week on Friday, was a trip to Black Creek Pioneer Village sponsored by the Pine Ridge Garden Club. A very heartfelt thank you to this great bunch of people for the lovely trip.
