Greenbank and Area News by Deirdre Earle The U.C.W. meeting will be held on Wed. Sept. 9th at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Eunice Rahm. The Greenbank Orioles hosted a twelve team league tournament over the weekend. The "C" cham- pionship was won by the Valentia Blues or the Little Britain Trojans. Uxbridge Service Rentals defeated the Uxbridge Foxbridge to win the "B' championship and the "A" championship was won by the Lit- tle Britain Rejects who defeated the Greenbank Orioles. Muriel Gibson and Mavis Pelletier spent a few days at Wicklow recently and also called on Mrs. Muriel (Gibson) Edwards in Cobourg. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Lee have just returned from a trip to the Gaspe. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Smith from Scugog Island and found the areas they saw to be very beautiful and interesting. Treat minor localized burns by immersing the burned part im- mediately in cold water to relieve the pain and reduce swelling and blistering. Place cold packs, ice or wet cloths on the burned area if im- mersion in cold water is not possible. Remove anything that is constric- tive, such as rings, bracelets or footwear before swelling begins. Also visiting the Earles for two days were their grandsons Marcus and Matthew Otis. Two groups from the Toronto Nature School visited the Nonquon Outdoor and Environmental Educa- tion Centre during August and were highly impressed by this unique teaching facility.
