Monday, Aug. 17th, we spent the afternoon pricing and get- ting ready for the Flea Market. Some of the ladies also baked up some batches of brownies. Around 4 pm, we held an Executive Meeting in order to make prepara- tions for the upcoming Presidents Council Meeting. Tuesday, we were all busy mak- ing up several batches of plain muf- fins for the Flea Market. The ladies tried some of their baking with a cup of tea. While we were busy cooking, we had a discussion on the items that each one used to bake when they were in their own homes. Mr. Doug Potts, the photographer from Signature Studios returned our finished portraits. They all turned out real nice. Wed. (20th), was the Monthly Presidents Council meeting. Items on the agenda were- volunteer patio cleaners, the majority wants to work towards purchasing an awning for the patio for next year, and ideas were discussed for the upcoming overnight trip. Thurs. was the last minute preparation day. We mostly baked up batch after batch of fresh goodies for the Flea Market. The big day arrived ---- Friday ---- Our Annual Flea Market took place. What a success!! We had a total of 13 vendors take part along our side. We had several tables ourselves, featuring Odds 'n Ends table, food booth and a most popular "Touch & Take' table. A very special thank you to everyone who helped out in anyway and to all the people who supported us. All money raised will go towards the Residents Activity Fund. All day Monday, we spent work- ing together as a clean-up crew. We certainly have a lot of hard workers in our group. Afterwards, tea and cookies were served.
