Starting in the autumn Trent University will be rapidly expanding its courses and students at Durham College, starting this fall. A Trent spokesperson said the in- crease in the number of courses the university offers at Durham College will mean an increase of 50 per cent in the number of students admitted into these courses. "Trent recognizes that meeting the needs of part-time students is an important element of making university education accessible. Ex- panding the program at Durham College will allow Trent to open its doors to an important sector of to- day's student population, those who wish to pursue their studies on a part-time basis." "As well, Trent's expansion in Oshawa will enable the University to meet another of its goals, that of service to Oshawa and the surroun- ding communities,"' said the 00. =e' PER COUPLE. == NE == === -- -- EE -- Sn yr nd CRUISE MONTH Jottings (From page 6) [ hardly think that this is true, but one wonders why the residents of Scugog have been by-passed for the past two years. You should have told me what to bring. You didn't say a word in Thunder Bay when you were teaching me how to canoe." "But Sarah, that was all fake. All show, darling. Surely you must have realized then what sort of getup you'd need. Didn't your dress rip that day too?" "I thought it was because it was cheap material. But never mind that. What about all these mosquitoes? My legs are covered in bites right through the pantyhose. And there's nowhere to plug in my makeup mirror and curling iron. And I need a bath Andy. All this paddling ... God forbid, I'm sweating Andrew! You didn't say anything about sweating!" Poor Sarah. But wait till they get invited to scuba dive in the Caribbean. Or mountain climb in Tibet.
