Trip Of Interest Norm and Bernice Mairs of Nestleton, had an interesting trip, attending the Durham Wood Show .. and met relatives there. They stayed in Waterloo overnight, then toured the Mennonite country to some extent in South Western On- tario, and completed the trip with a lovely meal in Elmira ... a beautiful village with an old-time decor. Marlene Bannister and friend Roy Fitzgerald of Peterborough, and Mrs. Neta Fish of Nestleton, dined at Greystone King's Plate Lounge (Equestrian Centre) on Tuesday this past week ... a very nice even- ing! On Friday evening Calvin and Yvonne Holland and Mother Neta had an elegant dinner at Port Darl- ington Marina Hotel ... then later they had birthday cake at home with the children. On Saturday evening grandson Keith and Rhonda Ban- nister and daughter Nicole of Peter- borough enjoyed supper with Neta, Calvin & Yvonne Holland, Chad, Craig and Alanna Dawn. A wonder- ful week of activity for Neta and we wish her the best on her recent bir- thday, August 14. May she have many more celebrations to enjoy! Sam and Mabel Cawker, Scugog Point Road, enjoyed a visit with "George and Ella Bowers of Nestleton, and daughter Dorothy Carson of Stroud, who was spending a few days with her parents this past week. Glad to see George looking much better after a sojourn in Port Perry Community Hospital. Mabel Cawker had a lovely visit with a good friend, Glenn Jackson of Port Perry on Monday afternoon. Caesarea Community Church An excellent congregation in spite of holiday time and humid weather. The minister Rev. Dr. W.H. Crawford spoke on "Membership ... What Does It Mean?" based on Scripture Corinthians 12 and John 15 ... read by Arden Maschke and Daniel Pugh Jr. The Responsive reading was led by Rev. Crawford, Marjorie Pugh was in charge of the children's church. Music by Anne Maschke and Kathy Watts. Next Sunday at 11 a.m. for on interesting message.
