Way to hit that ball Adam. This is Seagrave's Squirt team and they are a fine bunch of young ball players doing well in their league. The Mariposa Mens Ball team, wives and families travelled to Kin- cardine last weekend to participate in an 84 team tournament in that town. They came home with one win out of three well played games. It was a fun filled, relaxing weekend enjoyed by all. To get the record straight, Allan. was that a Phoenix body with Lynx insides or Phoenix insides with a Lynx body that we are to look for come December? The Robinglade Ladies Group starts their meetings once again 'next month. If you are new in Rob- inglade and wish to join, please call Diane Cooke at 985-3722. We meet one evening a month, always here in the subdivision. The agenda and guest speakers are almost finalized for this year. For those members from previous years who wish to take part this year please call Diane so that she can get your name on the list that accompanies the agenda. We would like to welcome Kaye and Norm Nicol back after a long travelling holiday to Western Canada and the United States. We understand you visited Bill and Barb Boagey, former residents of Robinglade Estates who now reside in Nanaimo, B.C. Again, welcome back and have fun catching up on your veggie garden.. Peggy and Harvey Easton must be very proud of their daughter Lori. Lori, a very musically talented person, sang at the Church of Ascen- sion in Port Perry last Sunday. There were many Seagrave residents at the service and we all commend you. We thoroughly en- joyed your beautiful voice. Diane, Kaaren and I would like to welcome back Diane Puckrin as a correspondent for this column. Diane prepared many Seagrave News columns for about five years some time ago and we hope she will enjoy doing so once again. As she is well acquainted with a lot of Seagrave area residents I am sure she will have lots of news tq report. We still need a correspondent from Mariposa Estates if anyone there is willing to join us. Just give any one of us a call if you are interested. As I am sure you may have notic- ed, some of the columns in July have been rather sparse and even non- existant. July and August always finds many people on vacation, in- cluding our correspondents, therefore, not a lot to report. I am sure once everyone is back home again we will have more items to report, especially if people call us with these news items. Well, that's it for this week, for news next week, please call Kaaren Johnson at 985-9274. Island news by Mrs. Earl Reader Don't forget Bible School starts next Monday, Augusst 17th for one week at the Island United Church 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All children are welcome -- pre-kindergarten and up to whatever age would like to come. A craft program will be included. The main public involvement and interest these days seems to be elec- tion discussion and study for a wise vote. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Marion Hughes and husband of Port View Beach, who was saddened recently by the sudden passing of a half brother in Nova Scotia and two weeks later, she lost a beloved niece in Peterborough with terminal illness. Miss Edith Bolton has returned to her Scugog Pastoral Charge after a month of vacation. I'm sure she was glad to relax through the heat wave.
