Forrest and Blake McAmmond of Oshawa are spending this week with -- their grandparents George -and -- Gladys Van De Walker. Marjory and Ross Clark of Oshawa also visited Sunday with the Van De Walkers. Gladys Van De Walker travelled with her daughter Cindy and son-in- law Greg on Sunday to the Circle Square Ranch at Severn Bridge to pick up grandson Robert who had spent a very enjoyable week there. The home of Mr. and Mrs. William Earle seems very empty now that their overseas visitors have left. Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Joy and their youngest son Iain arrived from the Shetland Isles in mid-June. Jane Joy is Deirdre Earle's sister and they have not met for 27 years so there was lots of family news to exchange. All the Earle family were busily involved in meeting their relatives, and even Martin, the Earle's youngest son was able to fly in from Winnipeg for.a visit. Trips to Niagara Falls, Midland, the C.N. Tower and to the Havelock and Peterborough area were made as well as to Scugog Island, Bowman- ville and Pickering where family members live. An added bonus was the arrival of Mrs. Kim Davis, her son Greg TaJlor and little daughter Laura. Kim, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joy, had been visiting her husband's relatives in Califor- nia and when her husband, Bob, was recalled to his job as' a diver for North Sea oil rigs, Kim, en route back to Aberdeen, decided to detour to Canada to join the family reunion. So the Earle house was full! All the visitors found our part: of thé coun- try to be truly delightful and hated | to leave. They all plan to return.
