For Lishman's homeruns were scored by Cliff Pelrine, and Ronnie Vokins. Ronnie also hit two triples. Singles were hit by Jenny Gainey, Tanya Mappin, Scott Sutton, Shane Wasson, April Wasson, Nicole Leach and Cliff Pelrine. Scott Sutton made a great catch. For Don Frew and Sons Barry Ross, Adam Cummings, Tracy Malcolm, Mike Robinson and Mark Simmons all hit singles. Adam Cum- mings also hit a triple. An outstan- ding catch was made by Bradley Malcolm and great back-catching was done by Mark Simmons. The game was played at the diamond in Caesarea. On July 21 the Port Perry Kinsmen were beaten by Turners Green Giants with a final score of 23-11. This was the first loss of the season for the Kinsmen! For the Giants Mike Nash and Brian Nash both hit two homeruns and Kirk Swain hit a grand slam. Homeruns were also scored by Kevin Gilbank, Sean Lewerentz, Johnathon McCourt and Brad Vokins. Kirk Swain made an exciting double play with an outstanding catch. For the Kinsmen Sean O'Donoghue and Steven Kyte both scored homeruns. Matthew Brad- burn hit two doubles and Scott Nesbitt, Jason Logan, Blain Pelrine and Gordon Bentley hit one double each. Jeremy Malcolm hit two singles and Blain Pelrine hit one. Outstanding catches were made by Sean O'Donoghue and Scott Negbitt. Turners Green Giants played Super Spuds on July 22. The score was 24-11 for the Giants. Homeruns were scored by Ryan Larmer and Wendy Handyside. Triples were hit by Tricia McCourt, Kirk Swain, Brad Vokins, Johnathon McCourt and Ryan Larmer. Doubles were hit by Brad Vokins, Tricia McCourt and Brian Nash. Outstanding catches were made by Sean Lewerentz and Ryan Larmer. For Super Spuds the whole team played a great game. Adam Vivian hit a fantastic homerun. Beth Dunkley made a great pop fly catch as did Adam Wannacott and Tony Waldriff. Don't forget the pot luck supper after the championship games on August 9 at Nestleton Hall. Over 100 golfers converged on Sunnybrae Golf Course last Saturday for the annual Caesarea Regatta Tournament. A special award was presented during the awards ceremony to Dan Lally (second left) who has held the Regat- Action continues in House League Soccer MINI DIVISION Action continued in the Mini Divi- sion with Port Perry Star edging Ted-E-Bear 2-1. Scoring for Port Perry Star was Greg Bruton with two goals and Jamie Byers with the lone goal for Ted-E-Bears. In the other game Stephen Nagy came through with five goals and Aaron Chambers with three to give Gord Lewis Motors an 8-0 win over Port Perry Auto. SQUIRT DIVISION Only one game was played in the Pee Wee Boys Squirt Division last week, and it was a good one. Canadian Tire and Kinsmen fought it out to a 4-4 tie. Scoring for Canadian Tire with two goals a piece were Robbie Murphy and John Schewaga. The scorers for Kinsmen were Shane Norton with two and singles going to Charlie Black and Matthew Brown. ATOM DIVISION On Tuesday, Denny Metals final- ly snapped R & S Leather's unbeaten string with a 1-0 win. Scor- ing the lone goal for Denny Metals was Ryan Duff. The game Wednesday between Prestige Hair and R & S Leather was well played and ended with R & S Leather managing to score two goals in the last five minutes to tie it 3-3. Goalscorers for R & S Leather were Stephen Hiemstra with two goals and Aaron LaFontaine with one. Scoring for Prestige Hair were Kevin Hobbs with two and Max Gallagher with one. Close game for Esso July 20, 1987 Causeway Esso and Davidson 'Fuels played a very close game on Monday in Nestleton that had Esso edging the Fuel's team out 16-14. Jeff Kemp had a strong night at first base and Brendon had a HR and played well in centre field. Jason Price was very strong on 2nd base and Mike Tripp made somé ex- cellent catches while playing 1st base. Both coaches said that the boys played well! The Lil Gators played host to the Nonquon team richer by Lee Wilbur The past weekend the Nonquon Travelers were invited to the Ux- bridge Fastball Tournament and came home $270 richer. In the first game the Travellers came up against a team from Agin- court and lost 7-5. On Saturday afternoon they came up against another Toronto team and mercied them in 5 innings by a score of 8-1. Lee Wilbur picked up his first win of the year on the mound. Then playing at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning it took the travellers 4 inn- ings to get started as they were down 5-0 in the 4th inning whey they exploded for a 7 run inning and came out on top 8-6. Lee Wilbur again picked up the win for his 2nd. This win put the Travellers in the Consolation Championship against Zephyr Royals. Port has not beaten Zephyr all year and they did it in the first 3 in- nings and came up on top 3-1. Todd - Wilbur pitched a masterful game picking up his 8 win in a row. Every team member played very well and deserved a hand for a great effort. In league play the Travellers lost 8-6 to Manilla and beat Udora 4-3. Look for the Nonquon Vacations team in the Canadian Tire Tourna- ment this weekend. The Travellers will be selling tickets for a trip for 2 to Las Vegas donated by Nonquon Vacations Inc. Support the Nonquon team and come on out to watch some good fastball. D.J. Taylor team in Port Perry this week by defeating the Taylor team 21-8. Andre Gotthelf made some ex- cellent catches while playing field. Chris Linton gave the best pitching display we've seen all season. Good work Chris. Lil Gators, Greg Fitzgerald had a solid hit which drove in 3 runs and Chris Espey made a running backhand catch in field, then fired the ball home to Jasen Dawson who tagged the sliding runner out.
