The photo clearly shows the south side of the old school. Our thanks to Mrs. Leslie (nee McMillan) for loan of this fine old picture. She was a student the year the old school burned in 1926. The boy in the back row of the photo, 4th from the left, is her uncle Wilbur Raymes. Mrs. Leslie believes this photo was taken at least 80 years ago. Steam will be billowing, engines chugging and flywheels spinning as the Ontario Agricultural Museum presents the 3rd annual "Great Canadian Anti- que Tractor Field Days' Sat. July % 25th and Sun. July 26th, 1987. This event, the only one of its kind in Ontario, will feature over 30 an- tique tractors, 50 antique gasoline engines and several steam engines, all of Canadian manufacture prior to 1957. Special features include a saw mill and shingle mill, all powered by vintage Candian engines. Each day will feature a parade of these unique Canadian machines, as well as public log saw- ing, nail driving and bag-tying com- petitions. To highlight this year's event, we will re-create an old time 'Threshing Bee' using a circa 1940 Robert Bell Threshing machine. While viewing the activities of this event enjoy live musical entertain- ment. As well, this year we are featuring "Multiculturalism -- A Rural Perspective."
