Reunion was a great success PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, July 7, 1987 -- 13 Wrapping up a job extremely well done After 18 months of work, the com- mittee of Port Perry High School Reunion 87 met to tie up the details and assess the results of the project. Originally starting with no finan- cial resources other than their own contribution, they were given a tremendous boost when donors _ Lloyd and Marion Lee, both former students, made available a sum of $3,000. This generous assistance made it possible for the group to get a good start and to expand on the early plans. This generous gesture was a big factor in ensuring the suc- cess of the outcome. Feeling very gratified with the results of the work, the group was also aware that only the attendance GUARANTEED INVESTMENT Annual Rates and participation of so many former students, teachers and other friends of P.P.H.S. made it such a great event. They also recognized the assistance given by the community and the coverage in the Port Perry Star. The memory book and the halls were appreciated by many reunion participants as wonderful momen- tos of the occasion. Very few of these items are available and anyone wishing to obtain such a souvenir should call Barbara Carnegie at 985-3651. The book will also be available at the Port Perry Star and any remaining copies will be on sale at Bahamas Festival Days weekend.
