A Grade eigh ts # Graduation day : Blackstock and Area News by Joyce Kelly On Thursday, June 25 the annual grade 8 dinner and awards presen- tation took place. Grace was said by Laura Gilbank after which all en- joyed a delicious chicken dinner prepared and served by the ladies of the O.N.O. At the presentation of Awards and Diplomas at the C.C.P.S. the very capable M.C. was Christopher Chorostecki. Greetings were given by Trustee Joyce Kelly, Superintendent Robert Martin and Principal R. Rutledge. Julie Corden reviewed the nine years at C.C.P.S. in her Valedic- torian address. Cur best wishes go with you in your new location even though you will be greatly missed here. The community was shocked to learn of the tragic farm accident that claimed the life of Donnie Till- ing. Sympathy is extended to his parents, his sisters Kim and Wendy and brothers Doug, John, Allan and Chuck in their sad loss. Ivan Thompson remains in serious condition in Oshawa Hospital recovering from the massive stroke he suffered.
