a Memorial gardens set for reunion days The archeological dig on the frpnt lawn at Port Perry High School is now becoming a Memorial Garden. The excavation of the old high school was begun nearly two months ago and was undertaken by the students at P.P_H.S. The foundation wall, now exposed, will form the basis of a Memorial Garden, to be dedicated on Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. as part of the reunion weekend. The Memorial Garden has had two benches, identical to the new ones on Queen Street, donated to the site. The benches were donated by Pete Hvidsten of the Port Perry Star and Jim Grieve of the I.G.A. and they will provide a place to relax for those who climb Queen Street from downtown to old Borelia Flowers and a memorial cairn will compliment the park benches, The entire project has been financ- ed by the students through the Stu- dent Council of P.P H.S The Memorial Garden surroun- ding the old school (1873-1926) foun- dation will be dedicated by the students of 1987 to the students of the old school. The dedication will be one of the highlights of the reunion weekend and will be attended by various dignitaries and students who attended the old school. These ex-students will now be well into their golden years. Graduates STEPHEN D.KRISTENSEN At-the spring convocation at the University of Waterloo, Stephen D. Kristensen received his Bachelor of .
