Doug and Beth Wilson and children and their grandma Mrs. 'Gladys Evans of Daheim Nursing Home were luncheon guests on Sun. with Barbara and Ross Evans. The U.C.W. was held at the home of Mrs. Archie Watson last Tues. There was a good number of members present. Mrs. Irene Fielding took the Devotional service and Mrs. Harold Ross sang a beautiful solo *'I Know He Touched Me." Mrs. Paul Baster told us of the work and needs of Tucker House. Margaret and Shawn Sevier of London were visiting her parents Earl and Elizabeth Taylor and Earl's sister Ruth of Cannington was a Sun. supper guest. Dr. Jerrold and Joan Asling of Hanover were supper guests on Fri. evening. On Sun. Donald and Stella were pleased to have most of: their family for lunch and visit together. Also a most welcome guest was Joan Asling's mother Mrs. Olive Barton of Uxbridge. Grandson Richard Ashton called in the even- ing. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ashton and family Dawn and David of Aurora visited on Sat. with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilson. Paul, Shirley and Cathy Baster visited with Julie Baster in Guelph on Sun. and had supper with her. Food Grains Bank of Ontario: Floyd and Grace Evans, Don and Stella Asling represented our area when they attended a dedication service at Hamilton Harbour for corn that was bagged for the Cana- dian Food Grains Bank in Ontario to be shipped to Ethiopia. They were given a tour of the ship Al Rahim from upper deck to engine room. At the end of the tour they were invited to have lunch in the Ship's dining room. A cargo of 20,000 tonnes of corn was being loaded at Hamilton, then - 7,500 metric tonnes of wheat and 168 tonnes of edible Canola oil will be added at Montreal to complete the cargo which should reach Ethiopia shortly after the middle of May. Jason Van Veghel told me he had a good birthday on Sat. We hope all have many more. Mrs. Hansen and Earl were weekend guests with Wayne and Lynda Ford at Port Hoover. Mrs. Mount of Trenton has been visiting her daughter Jill Postma, Gord and family. We welcome Jerry and Lorraine Postumus and Baby Theo to our community. They have just moved into the trailer home and will be working for Gordon Postma. Ruth Ashton had all her family with her for supper on Sunday. Beth Catherwood was with her mother for the weekend. Last Monday, her granddaughter Lori Bradbury and her great granddaughter Alex visited with Mrs. Ashton. Sunday visitors with Gordon and Jean Jeffery were Yvonne and John Moore, Heather and Karley 'of Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson and Mrs. W.0O. Simpson visited Rev. Richard and Mrs. Luchuk of Wiar- ton for the weekend. ' Mr. A. Cuddie of Weston was a weekend guest with his sister Jen- nie and Archie Watson. On Sun. Mr. and Mrs: Ron Watson and family of Scarborough were supper guests celebrating Ron' Ss birthday. Your help is needed! Plans are be- ing made to create a booklet about the Community of Epsom. Included will be past memories and current information along with pictures. Proceeds from this project will be donated to the new Daycare Centre that will be opening.in Utica Church.
