The quality of life for a vic- tim of Alzheimer Disease can be im- proved in both locations through the methods which she will be sharing Many people feel ill at ease in visiting the sick and elderly, par- ticularly patients with Alzheimer Disease. Miss Tanner will outline things visitors can do to make the visit relaxed and worthwhile Alzheimer Disease 1s a pro gressive neurological disorder which affects 300,000 Canadians There is no known cause or treat- ment. The volunteers of the Durham Alzheimer Society provide informa- tion, family support groups, gues! speakers, in-service training and research funding in a continuing ef- fort to hélp families cope with the disease, and researchers to find the cure. : The meeting is held on Thursday, April 30 at the Port Perry Council Chambers.
