Council's strong comments needed for land division If Scugog Township council has | objections to a proposed land severance, it should spell them out to the Durham Region Land Divi- sion Committee. "Strong comments from the local council would make some of the decisions easier for the Commit- tee,' Les Smith told the council Monday afternoon. Mr. Smith of Scugog Township, is a current member of the Land Divi- sion Committee and a former chairman. a ty to comment on all land severance applications, but it is the Land Divi- sion Committee which has the final say on whether the severance is granted or denied. Mr. Smith had been invited to ap- pear before council for a general "discussion on land division matters.
