Ladies high was « Mary William- son, $econd was Pearl Gostick and low was Rose Willoughby, and over on the mens side, I see they needed the ladies to keep them warm again. High was Richard Manns, second was Mildred Thompson and low was Pat Norton. Lucky draw prizes went to. Frank Andrews and Clara Whit- ter. Don't forget in February, is the annual board meeting at the hall and I hear they are doing a lot of work on the basement of the hall to improve its looks. Mabel Strong is still in hospital -- take it easy Mabel -- we are think- ing of you. The Couples Club of Prince Albert enjoyed a sleigh ride north of Green- bank on Jan. 17th. Twenty-eight members of the Club returned to the United Church after for hot chocolate and fun. On Feb. 21st, the Couples Club will go to Monte Carlo night in Port Perry. Marjorié Chambers and her daughters Cathy and Shirley, and Shirley's man-to-be, attended a Bridal Show in Pickering on Friday evening, Jan. 23. VerNon Graham from Winnipeg Manitoba, spent the weekend in Prince Albert visiting his mom in Port Perry Hospital and Mr. Hugh Strong. Dorothy Hargrave from Willowdale has been with Hugh all week. « The annual meeting of the Prince Albert Unitell Church was held on Sun. Jan. 25, with 22 people sitting down to a Pot-luck dinner first. It was an encouraging meeting with - many aspects being discussed. If New 4-H unit starting soon Utica and Area News by Vera Brown 4-H will be starting again in February for girls or boys aged 12-21 before Jan. 1, 1987. The unit for this __session is "Surviving With Style" and deals with such topics as fixing - leaky pipes, getting stains out of clothing, changing flat tires, becom- ing wise shoppers and handling strangers at the door. When the day arrives that you will need to know these things, you will be prepared ---- and the day will come sooner than you think. Following the service, will be the Congregational Meeting and all are invited to attend. Service starts at 11:15 a.m. Senior choir practise on Wed. at 8 p.m. at the home of Linda Irving" Junior choir practise on Thurs. after school in Epsom Church. Session and Stewards will meet on i Thurs. at 8 p-m. also in Epsom Church. Weekend guests with the Eric Carres were Mrs. Glenn: Wright, Peter and Andy of Toronto. Denise ~ Carre spent the weekend mostly at the Uxbridge Arena judging the Ux- bridge Figure Skating Invitational. Congratulations to Sharon Croxall on passing her H&R Block basic in- come tax preparation course which was held recently in Oshawa. Better late than never! It's nice to see the Hutchinsons back from their vacation to Florida (actually they've been back two weeks). They . were gone some 5 weeks or so and "Tit just bet that-after this-past-cotd- and stormy weekend, that Wayne and Mary wish they were still in the sunny south. Mildred Thompson and Phyllis Clarke were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Don Hill of Mount Albert. Mildred got to visit with her new great niece Miss Jenny Marie Hill who was born on Jan. 17th.
