Port's first game at 10 a.m. was with Whitby and although we have only managed to tie this team in previous matches we were all eager to. face them on the ice. Things didn't go as well as we wanted although we skated well Whitby took - a 4-0 lead into the last period. In the second frame Port never gave up and worked even harder but this still wasn't enough as Whitby hung on to win 64. * Port's next game at 12 p.m. was against Sunderland. The two teams could taste victory in the second frame as the score changed hands many times. Port managed tp score 2 goals late in the period to pull out a 9 all tie at the buzzer. This meant sudden death overtime and as nervous as everyone was both teams' played well but Sunderland with a powerplay advantage put the ring in the net when the extra period w was 3 minutes old.
