Mrs. Claus was busy baking cookies on the stove and Santa was slipping on his outdoor clothes; Finally Santa was all set to go, fly- ing above the mountains of snow. First he went to Susan's house, --- then he went to Guy's, Rudolph's / nose shining bright in the dark night skies, After coming down chimneys full of soot, he was covered with cinders from his head to his foot. When Santa was busily putting presents underneath the tree, I ~ crept down. the stairs hoping he wouldn't see me; Then he went up the chimney with a twinkle in his eye, and outside I could hear him cry a merry good-bye. When Santa got home he gave a huge sigh-----Then Mrs. Claus thought to herself, 'WHAT A GREAT GUY!" WHERE IS RUDOLPH by Kevin Ellis Gr. 6 Immaculate Conception School On December 23, 1986 Santa was finishing some toys off, then he was going to feed his reindeers. When Santa walked into the barn he notic- ed Rudolph was gone. Santa ran in- to the workshop and told all the elves. Everyone ran out. The reindeer. Rudolph was Santa's % favorite deer and if it was foggy Christmas Eve Santa wouldn't be able to deliver the presents. They looked everywhere they could think of and called his name out loud. "Rudolph, Rudolph' Still there was no sign of him. All of a sudden San- ta's youngest elf, named Tiny heard a noise in the barn. Tiny said "Hey every one Follow me." They all looked pussled but followed Tiny anyways. Inside the barn in a big pile of Straw you could only see a lit- tle red glow. Tiny went cver and moved some of the straw and everyone cheered for there was sleepy Rudolph all nice and warm buried in the straw. Santa went over and gave Rudolph a big hug and all the little elves started to dance. Rudolph didn't understand what all the fuss was about because all he did was fall asleep in a pile of straw. MR. THE BEST GIFT by Sammi Vanderwyst Gr. 5 Immaculate Conception School As I walked through the soft white snow, I could see little squirrels leaping amongst the oak trees. Far over the clearing was a fawn that had lost its mother. With soothing words, I slowly moved towards the fawn. "It's alright," | said as I gently slipped a rope over it's tiny head. Gently leading the fawn we serch- ed the whole forest but there wasn't a sign of its mother anywhere. It was getting late so I picked up the fawn and headed home. I named my w cert held last Wednesday in the resource cen- _tre of the school. Catholic School stories fawn Jiffy. May Jiffy and I have happy years together!
