32 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, December 9, 1986 More letters are Greenbank and Area News Last week, as many of you are probably aware, there was a meeting with the Scugog Council about the issue of the sidewalk be- ing extended down to the school. Council has promised to give the matter serious consideration at budget time in March, but pointed out that the cost will be very high and that if the project goes ahead, no other projects will be possible in the Township during 1967. A stack of letters from concerned parents was left for the Council members to read, and it is hoped that these will add further weight to our proposal. If you were one of the people who wrote a letter, thank you very much! If you didn't get a chance to, it isn't too late! It is very important that the members of the Council understand fully how much of a con- cern this issue is to" Greenbank residents. Please either send a let- ter directly to the Scugog Township Council or contact Janet Banting at 985-3225. The W.1. meeting will be a dessert luncheon at Mrs. Don McKean's home on December 10th at 12:30. . Come and bring a friend to enjoy a social time together. Tickets are still available for the New Years dance at Greenbank Hall, if interested call 985-7746 or 985-2981.
