Sorry to report that Grace Beacock had the misfortune to fall and is in the Port Perry Hospital. | know it's easier said than done Grace -- but keep smiling! A number of families from Prince Albert enjoyed the beef supper at the Sunderland United Church on Wednesday night. Hazel Brooks was a luncheon guest on Sunday after church with Bernice and Roy Dobson at Manchester. It was a small congregation at Prince Albert United Church on Sunday, but it was a pleasure to hear the singing of the Scugog Historical Choir. Both bazaar and supper a success Epsom and Area News by Jean Jeffery The supper at Utica sponsored by the Epsom-Utica U.C.W. was a very successful affair. The Annual Bazaar was also very successful. Thanks to all who donated or bought. A number of young folks were in- volved on the 4-H banquet at U.S.S. on Sat. evening. The juniors put up a good showing and many of the senior groups showed exceptional talent. Thanks to all the leaders who gave unsparingly-of their time and talent. Mr. Howard Ashton is a patient in Uxbridge Hospital. Beth Cather- wood stayed with her mother for a few days. Our best wishes to Howard and Ruth. Mr. Roy Wilson of Cobden was with Earl and Marie Thursday night. Miss Ruby Wilson left for Florida, we wish her a healthful and happy winter. So Dr. Pat Asling was luncheon guest with her parents on Sunday. Elmer and Ruth Wilson were Sat. supper guest with Keith and Anne Wilson, Dawn and David. On Mon. lunch guests with Elmer and Ruth were Rev. Floyd and Helen Wilson and their children of London. THE DURHAM BOARD OF EDUCATION Quality Education Today-- For Tomorrow ELECTION OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE THE FRENCH LANGUAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (FLAC) IS SEEKING CANDIDATES WHO ARE SENSITIVE TO THE NEEDS OF THE STUDENTS IN OUR SCHOOLS. The elections for the French Language Advisory Committee (FLAC) of the Durham Board of Education will be held on November 19, 1986 at 7:30 p.m. at The French Cultural Centre, 384 Hillside Avenue, Oshawa, Ontario. The term of the new FLAC will be two years. Any eligible French-speaking public school ratepayer has the right to offer himself/herself as a candidate for the FLAC. An eligible French-speaking public school ratepayer is a person who satisfies the following requirements: 1. 1s eighteen (18) years of age or more; in. 1s a Canadian citizen; wm. Congratulations to Jennie and Ar- chie who celebrated another wed- ding anniversary with a trip to Niagara Falls. Hallowe'en was a very nice quiet affair.
