You sure did -- t"was young Allen Hudson. Would you believe his Scotch ancestory is showing and he is taken up with the pipes. Seems there's an old Scottish - custom that if you lay over at a friend's or grandparents (Bruce and Jean Mountjoy) it's only common courtesy to give a toot or a blow in appreciation for a wee spot of bed and breakfast. And did you see the ~ proud lad strutting in his fancy tar- tan along with the rest of the band from the Royal. Military College of Kingston at the Octoberfest in Waterloo? You couldn't miss him. He was the tall, good-looking lad, all six foot three of him, bare knees and all. Good luck Allen and anytime you're passing this way, stop in and give us a wee toot. -- Can imagine you can feel Grandpa Bruce's writing style in the above article. On Saturday evening a reception was held in Solina Hall for Mr. and Mrs. Ed Boyd, the former Janice Yellowlees. Many of her Larmer relatives from this area attended the happy event. The Richard VanCamp and Gerald Kelly families attended the wedding festivities of Karen Rod- man and Allan Lavis in Little Bri- tain and Oakwood on Saturday. On Sunday, Gerald and Joyce Kel- ly and family attended a family gathering at the home of Mabel and Doug Smith and Andrea, Fenelon Falls, celebrating a special birthday of Mrs. Alberta Tiers, Gerald's aunt.
