Nancy Waterman Epsom and Area News by Jean Jeffery A Service of Induction was held at Epsom Church last Thursday even- ing for the Rev. Nancy Waterman. The Rev. Betty McColgan delivered a very meaningful ser- mon. The choir sang two lovely an- thems under leadership of the organist Donna VanVeghel. Thanks alsoto V for the flute music. Church next Sunday will be at Utica at 11:15 a.m. On Tuesday Oc- tober 14 at 1:30 p.m. all ladies are invited to lunch dessert at the home of Shirley Baster, this will be follow- ed by the regular U.C.W. meeting. Plans are to be made for our annual beef supper and bazaar. Evelyn and Carl Hansen were Sunday dinner guests at the home of John and Barbara Barfoot of Ashburn in honour of Colleen's third birthday. The weather-man co-operated shining most gorgeously when we were reminising following the beautiful Thanksgiving service at the beautifully decorated Pine Grove Church. Donna Kerry and Ann Tapscott sang two duets with Ann's mother accompanying them on the piano. The sermon was delivered by John Tapscott which was very interesting and thought provoking. Dr. Jerrold and Mrs. Asling of Hanover were dinner guests with his parents Don and Stella Asling on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Card visited for a few days on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ostler at Fenelon Falls. We are sorry to hear that Rose Dennis J Hogan ann Hearing Ad Consultant 985-3003 985-9192 Evans has not been well lately. Rose and Neil Evans, daughter Anna, visited with her cousins Michael and Tanya Wilson for the week while their mother was in Toronto. Lois and Harry Elford, Mrs. W.O. Simpson, Floyd and Grace Evans were luncheon guests at the home of Earl and Marie Wilson on Sunday, in honour of Grace's Birthday - Greetings from all of us. A great big Thank-you to Keith and Faye Ashton and family for in- viting all their friends and relatives to share their wonderful 25th Wed- ding Anniversary. The pictures from this past 25 years were very enjoyable. Doug Wilson's commen- tary was really appreciated. The dance that followed was enjoyed by many. It was lovely to meet friends and neighbours and visit with those we haven't seen for sometime. Keith and Faye are still on cloud 9. There were relatives from Oshawa, Oakwood, Hanover, Fenelon Falls, Brighton, Ajax, Lindsay, to name a few further away places. We all wish Keith and Faye and their fami- ly many more years of happiness. Faye and Keith thank all who made this such a wonderful evening. Don and Stella. There are several different sizes and styles of the muiti-hued wall hangings that are hand quilted. Ms. Tinkl has been making the wall hangings for the past ten years or so and has had numerous exhibits and shows. This is her first at the Community Library in Port Perry.
