On Saturday afternoon a pretty wedding took place in the United Church when Diane Wheeler became the bride of Don Pierson. The reception was held at the home of Diane's sister Connie and Ernie Swain on Greensboro Street. Diane and Don will be living in Oshawa. Judi Mountjoy of Richmond, B.C. spent a week with her parents Er- nie and Connie Swain and attended her aunt's wedding. While in Ontario she visited other relatives and friends. 'Another lovely wedding took place on Saturday afternoon when Wanda Brown and Brian Craig were mar- ried in the Anglican Church. Their reception and dance took place in the Recreation Centre with Tripp- Toms catering. Best wishes are ex- tended to both of these happy es. Better health is wished for Bill Mahaffy who underwent serious surgery in Oshawa Hospital. Also in Oshawa Hospital is Mr. E.R. Trewin who was transferred from Port Perry Hospital. In Port Perry Hospital are Mrs. Elva Toms and Mr. Bob Holliday. Get well wishes are sent to all these patients. The Hoskin family annual picnic was also held on Sunday afternoon at the Enniskillen Conservation Area. This will be a great opportunity to wash up the family vehicles and support our local school at the same time at reasonable rates of $3-4 depe on car or van. On Tuesday evenings the Y.M.C.A. will be having Floor "Hockey- at the Cartwright Public . School from Sept. 23 to April 7.
