Many from the Community at- tended the Provincial Dairy Princess Competition at the C,N.E. this past week where Sharon Wilson competed and represented Ontario County. Archie and Jennie Watson spent a very pleasant day at Milton Steam Show. Several from the community com- peted at Port Perry Fair and were successful in obtaining some good prizes. The Tapscotts had a busy weekend: at the cottage. On Satur- day, they had a surprise wedding anniversary party for Norman's brother and his wife. On Sunday, it was Norman and Anne who celebrated their birthdays with the Thomas Family for guests. Crazy! _ One of the highlights of "Crazy Like the 80's' is a skit that involves Port Perry actors Steve Foote and Mark Stokes, What starts calmly enough as a series of television com- mercials quickly turns into a battle to offer the lowest price, the best deal in town. Mark, dressed in plaid pants and - checked blazer, is selling for The Block while Steve pitches for Fred- dies Fantastic Furniture Warehouse and Clearance Store. Their combin- ed agility and fast-talking hijinks must be seen to be believed. This is just one skit in the popular cabaret being performed at the Ux- bridge Music Hall on Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13 at 8 p.m.*'Crazy Like the 80's" received a standing ova- tion when it was first performed as part of the Uxbridge Celebration of the Arts. } Improvised by a cast of ten and scripted by director Roz Pritchard this is a fast paced evening of skits, song and dance. The show features themes from the crazy times we live -- valley girls, the changing roles of men and women, the generation gap, television, the computer age, etc. Included in cast, apart from Steve Foote and Mark Stokes, are Port Perry actors Vivian Lee, Charlene and Max Daigle, Tish LeFort and Greg Finnigan. Tickets are available at Irwin Smith Music and are $6 each.
