Wilbur resigns from Cancer Society The Scugog Branch of the Cana- dian Cancer Society held a luncheon meeting at the home of Mrs. Isabel Wilson on Sunday July 6th. A new slate of officers was elected for the coming 1986-87 year. It was with regret that we accepted the resignation of Ralph Wilbur as Chairman of the Transportation Committee. Both Ralph and his wife Elsie have, for years given unselfishly of their time to this im- portant function of the Cancer Socie- ty. We extend our gratitude to them both. We are fortunate in being able to fill this vacant position with another very capable and conscientious volunteer, Grant Bright. Eix. Doris Taylor, Campaign Chair- man reported another successful campaign with total donations of $27,376.07. We wish to acknowledge and thank the volunteer canvassers and the contributors of Scugog Township who allowed us to exceed our goal. The next meeting is scheduled to be held in September. Graduation Elizabeth Ann (Lisa) Taylor, daughter of Jack and Lois Taylor or Port Perry graduated from Trent University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Political Science.
