On Sat. evening the family of Owen and Shirley Kennedy held a surprise party in the Community Centre when about seventy-five members of family and friends helped them celebrate their Twenty-Fifth An- niversary. Down at the Legion Hall at the Firemans dinner and dance Jack and Mable Cook were celebrating forty-one years of wedd- ed bliss. : On Sunday June 1st from 2-5 p.m. at the Port Perry United Church Stan and Beth Grills will celebrate " Florance Smith is named senior citizen of the year their 40th Anniversary. Everyone is invited to help them do so. Fireworks were again on display last Friday night at the Pereman residence on Hurd St. About 50 children and parents thoroughly en- joyed themselves. Again a job well done by John Langford and helpers. On Sunday afternoon friends gathered at the home of Doug and Linda McMillian to help Linda celebrate a special birthday. A reminder of the Sunday School promotional Sunday coming up on June 8 with Rev. Brian Robinson as the special guest speaker. The hour long exam was a tough one but Anita Bowness (above, centre) managed to pull of a perfect paper ---- 150 out of 150. With her are team-mates (bottom) Scott Gales and Tricia Fry, (top) Kim Cowdy, Anita Bowess and Nathan Duda. The team hails from R.H. Cornish Public School. | This team of grade eight students at R.H. Cornish Public School received high standings in the Canadian Math League com- petitions held in February. The team placed 18th out of 808 schools across Canada, and was the sixth best team of all the schools in Ontario.
