Speakers included Ann Hankinson of details. the 4-H Club, Lynn Jamieson, the president of Durham West 4-H, Sandra Quehl, president of the Provincial Junior Farmers and Ron Herrema of the Junior Farmers Association. See story for Farmers teach 4-H Club - The Durham West Jr. Farmers held a workshop for the 4-H members of Durham West on April 26th at Greenbank Hall. The topics discussed were effec- tive meetings, parliamentary pro- cedure, communication, decision making, goal setting, 4-H and Jr. Farmer marketing, social recrea- tion and workshops on executive positions. There were 30 delegates par- ticipating from the many different clubs in the area. There were two guest speakers for the day whom were Brian Jones from Brooklin Jr. Farmers, this day and Sandra Quehl, presi- dent of the Provincial Jr. Farmers. Association. From the response we have received so far, the delegates en- joyed the day and it was a great success. New Baird Bible for pulpit Greenbank and Area News by Margaret Couperthwaite All the Baird family joined in the morning service last Sunday when a lovely large Bible for the pulpit memory was dedicated in of their parents Bob and Verna Baird. Next Sunday, May 4th, the wor- ship service will be conducted by the U.C.W. ladies with Mrs. Charlene - Shepherd as our speaker, and members joining the Choir for the day. Everyone is asked to stay for a luncheon provided by the members following the service. Herb and Marion Congo from Pentiction, B.C., visited recently with the Jarvis family and relatives in the community. Eileen Jarvis and Margaret Couperthwaite attended a birthday party at the home of Melva Coppins Sympathy to he family to the Kerry and Hoskin family in their sorrow this past week.
