I hope everyone in the area had a chance to read the article concern- ing 4H in last week's paper since our own local leaders are gearing up for the next "project." Leader, Carol Penny, and assistant, Gwen Luke, are looking forward to the next pro- ject entitled "Seed to Shelf." With this unit, the member will learn how to plant a small garden, care for it during the summer, and learn how to can and preserve their product for use during the winter. The pro- gram is open to boys and girls who were 12 years of age by January 1, 1986. It sounds like a real fun pro- ject, so come on kids, give either of these ladies a call and get involved with 4H for the summer. No more boredom and no -to-do blues! Carol can be rea at (705) 786-2653 and Gwen at 985-9206. That's it for this week, for news items next week, please contact Diane Cooke at 985-3722.
