I'm pleased to report that John GRATITUDE Tobin is home again after having eye surgery in Oshawa last week and making a remarkable recovery. It was delightful to have some of our former Seagrave residents at- tend services with us once again and of course it's always nice to welcome new folks to our church. Several folks from this area at- tended an auction sale of antique tractors, steam engines and the like at the Wilson Sales Arena in Ux- bridge on Saturday. This mammoth display of machinery from yesteryear were part of the estate of the late Mr. Wm. Shillinglaw of Baldwin and drew a large crowd of potential buyers as well as nostagia buffs. Sympathy is extended to the fami- ly of the late Mrs. Lenore McMillan who passed away last week. The late-Mrs. McMillan resided on a farm on the east end of the Reach/Brock townline for several years, We extend sympathy to her family. The Greenbank Hall Board are to be commended on their Easter Egg Hunt which was held on Friday at Ianson Park. The kids had a super time and I'm sure they'd all like you to know how very much they ap- preciated your efforts. . With the advent of spring many birds have been making their way home often spending the winter in a warmer climate and among the many different varieties I happen- ed to notice what appeared to be a stork flying over our neighbours home trying to make a decision to touchdown or not. I think I heard him mutter som about drop- ping in again in a week or two -- I just hope he gets the right house! We're eagerly anticipating the ar- rival of our new neighbour. Richardson of R.R.2, Port Perry were honoured by their sons and families on the occa- sion of their 50th wedding anniver- sary at a dinner and dance held in the Oshawa Shrine Club on Satur- day, March 8. The couple were married on March 7, 1936 by the late Rev. McCormick of King Street United Church. We would like to thank our many friends and families who attended also our thanks to Mr. Wendell . McLeod for his photography, Mr. Graham Jackson for his excellent banquet arrangements to the musi- cians and everyone who helped in any way.
